National Academy Tower — Tbilisi Mural Fest 2025

For Tbilisi Mural Fest 2025, RESORB mapped the tower of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences on Rustaveli Avenue — a monumental-scale projection in the centre of Tbilisi.

Tbilisi Mural Fest brings street art to the walls of the Georgian capital. In 2025 RESORB added light to it: a monumental-scale projection mapping on the tower of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, on Rustaveli Avenue in the heart of the city.

The studio, which works from Berlin and Tbilisi, had already mapped a mural in the centre of Tbilisi for the festival in 2023. For 2025 it moved from a wall to a landmark: the content is built to the tower’s architecture, so its storeys, windows and crown carry the image.

The mapping ran on the nights of 9 to 12 May 2025. The images on this page are stills from the drone documentation of the show.

In its recap of the festival, the Montana-Cans Blog credits the 3D mapping on the Academy of Sciences building to “Studio ReSORB and visual artist Stefan Ihmig”.
