Speicherstadt Hamburg — A Century in Light
A concept for the Speicherstadt, Hamburg’s UNESCO World Heritage warehouse district: a panoramic mapping along the brick façades that tells a century of the district’s history.

Hamburg’s Speicherstadt is the largest warehouse district in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site. RE:SORB’s concept treats the red-brick row along the canal as a single panoramic canvas — hundreds of metres of façade, windows and gables — for a show that tells a century of the district: trade, war and ruins, rebuilding, and the water that runs through all of it.
Historic photographs, a timeline of the district and holographic layers over the canal are the building blocks of the piece.
